5s LIVE Deposit Terms Explained
Deposit Terms Explained
What is the deposit?
Each team pays a £50 refundable deposit to secure their place in the league.
When do we get it back?
You receive the full £50 back at the end of the season as long as:
-
You attend all scheduled matches, or give enough notice if you cannot attend
-
All match fees are paid on time
-
Your team and supporters behave appropriately
What if we cancel in time?
If you give at least 24 hours’ notice that you cannot attend a fixture:
-
No penalty applies
-
Your deposit is not affected
-
The cancellation does not count as an offence
What if we cancel late or don’t show up?
If you give less than 24 hours’ notice, or fail to attend:
-
First time: One-off Goodwill Pass – no deposit loss
-
Second time: £25 (50%) of the deposit is forfeited
-
Third time: The remaining £25 is forfeited and your team may be suspended or removed from the league
Can we replace or top up the deposit?
No. Once any part of the deposit is lost, it cannot be replaced during the season.
What if we leave the league or are removed?
If your team withdraws, is suspended, or is expelled:
-
The deposit is forfeited
-
No refunds are issued
What happens to forfeited deposits?
Any forfeited deposit is used to help cover league costs such as referees, pitch hire, filming, and general operations.
